Aaron Head Shot 3

Head Coach & Director of Player Development

Aaron Konecsni has developed skating and skills for teams and associations such as the Kelowna Rockets, Hockey Canada Skills Academy, Vancouver Canucks, Mlada Boleslav (Czech Div 1 Pro Leaugue), Penticton Vees, West Kelowna Warriors and the Salmon Arm Silverbacks and is the Director of Player and Coach Development for both Yukon and Yellowknife Minor Hockey.

Aaron grew up playing hockey in Saskatchewan and ended his Junior career in the KIJHL in 1998 due to a series of concussions. He decided that he was going to continue to follow his dream which was to achieve further success in the game of hockey. He comes from a very successful, supportive and hardworking family. His leadership, ambition and entrepreneurial nature lead him to managing the Okanagan Training Rink in West Kelowna at the age of 19 years old where he created Redline High Performance Hockey Schools. Aaron ran Hockey Skating and Skills Camps around the globe until selling Redline in 2009. During this time Aaron had developed a leading edge skating system, on and off the ice that includes over 450 drills in progression that can be taught to all ages and skills levels.

Aaron has a relentless desire to develop all levels of hockey players’ skating like no other. He’s had the rare ability to coach all ages and levels and has designed a progressive curriculum for each level. Players get smarter, faster and results are seen immediately during each session. Players learn to master all skating, puck and checking skills from the skates up. The endless hours of research and determination to become the most effective and influential skating coach in hockey has made him one of the most sought after skating coaches in today’s game. Positive results are his primary objective along with building players’ confidence and teaching them how to apply their new skating skills in game situations. Today’s game is all about speed and puck possession and Aaron guarantees that he and his team will give you an edge on your competition.
